Musician Ecom Store
Website
UI/UX
A Shopify e-commerce site built to solve a trust and legitimacy problem for the official estate of jazz fusion guitarist Larry Coryell. With years of unofficial and unlicensed Coryell releases circulating online, fans had no reliable way to tell which recordings were family-authorized, so the UX needed to establish authenticity before it could sell anything. The site addresses this through a dedicated biography and discography that ground the catalog in verified history, an article archive that directly explains the family's involvement and the legitimacy of each release, and a consistent "Larry Legacy" branding system that visually distinguishes official products from bootlegs. On top of that foundation, the shop layer was kept simple and low-friction: clean product pages for rare live recordings and digital downloads, a name-your-price option to lower the barrier for casual fans, and a media gallery and mailing list to keep the audience engaged. The result is a store where the buying decision is supported by clear provenance rather than guesswork.
